AUSTIN — Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning has been placed in concussion protocol and did not practice on Monday as the Longhorns prepare to face No. 9 Vanderbilt this weekend.

Manning was injured on the first play of overtime in Texas’ win over Mississippi State last Saturday. If he can’t play, the Longhorns will have graduate transfer Matthew Caldwell leading the offense this weekend.
